Hello...this is the website of erotic fiction writer Sahara Kelly and you're at the right place if you want to find out the latest news from her world. She's got a list of her current books and other stuff as well. There are all the usual pages...her profile info, some other odds and ends, and a page with links where you can do fun things like buy her books and subscribe to her newsletter. There's an email addy too, so you can write Sahara and explain why you're not doing either of the above. Sorry, there's no free sex, or erotic/pornographic photos, because Sahara's a writer not a politician. She is also:
Darn clever with a needle and thread.
A bit of a i-gadget/techno-whore.
Devoted to the Castle tv series.
I even managed to get a new photo taken this year. For those who don't recognize the phrase "headshot", it's literally that - a shot of an author's head. LOL I owe a huge thankyou to Patty Harrison (RT photo wiz!) for putting me in touch with Chris from Forever Xpressions. Chris and his staff were handling convention photos in Chicago and took time out to sit me down, move my chin a bit and poof!!! Magic happened - result on the left. Now given that I was still three-parts hungover from those dratted chocolate martinis, had barely two hours sleep under my belt and my makeup had been applied through a fog, you can see how good Chris is! If they're at the next convention you attend, go get a photo. Trust me, you'll be thrilled!!!
Remember - you can always find out what's going on in my world, what books are on the way, whether I'm still hungover, where I'll be, and all that good stuff if you..
(I don't send them out a lot, but I've upgraded to a really cool newsletter host - lots of graphics and pretty things to look at. And if you don't like it, you can unsubscribe. What's to lose, right? Piece of cake!!!)
Latest eBook Releases
Just released - four novellas with a BDSM theme. These stories - among my all time favorites, by the way - were written nearly ten years ago now. (Eeek.)
Sometimes, writing is a challenge of gargantuan proportions. Plots turn back on themselves, characters act out like three-year-olds and days can go by when any writing ends up deleted with a sigh. Then there are stories like these. Back in "the day", when freedom of thought was encouraged and anything went as far as books were concerned, I discovered a new world where pleasure and pain were all mixed up and the ideas of love and trust took on a different flavor. One that definitely wasn't vanilla. Personally? No, not my choice of lifestyle. But as a writer, I found myself completely fascinated by the psychology, the emotions and the intricacies of relationships formed within this environment. I was blessed with a friend who unstintingly shared his expertise and who helped me understand so much more than I would have done if approaching this topic alone. Thanks Boss!! With his guidance and my own curiousity, these stories took shape, eventually pouring from my keyboard, a deluge of emotion, sensation, passion and the one most important thing - trust!
To this day I find myself distressed, and occasionally outraged, at BDSM books I read that pay only a cursory lip service to this most important feature of the lifestyle. If you don't trust someone completely, you're not about to enact a scene with them. If you do, I don't want to read about it, thank you.
And now, of course, we have shades of you-know-what, introducing new readers to the D/s world. So it seemed an appropriate time to resurrect these four short stories, based in one apartment complex, appropriately named "The Tethered Arms". Each is a standalone, but characters cross paths and interact with each other in different ways. So if you can, read them all. I took risks with these stories - especially the last two. Risks I hope to take again now that I can publish my own work, since they'd be frowned upon by the establishment. I hope you'll appreciate them, or at least forgive me for them. And yes, I did the cover art. Don't they look nice, over there on your right? (Grin) Purchase links are in the Contemporary section for each title - or you can search via the general links below. Let me know if you like 'em?
Several years ago I wrote a three book vampire series set in the Regency. (Biting two birds with one fang. LOL) Since they're now getting a new lease on life, I am offering the first book in the series for FREE! That's right, you can get the full-length novel My Lady Vampire - Book One for nothing but the time it takes to download it. My hope is that you'll be intrigued enough to want to find out more - such as what happens to the evil vampire and the lovers she unwittingly unites. The story continues in Books Two and Three. Read more on my Historical Books page.
They are available from all the usual places, but in case you can't find the first one free, check AllRomance eBooks because I know it's there, and in a variety of formats. I hope you enjoy this outing into the darkness that lurked within the Regency.
Latest Release in Print
Sahara's latest paperback... An anthology featuring all three of those fabulous stories to your right! For the folks who enjoy holding a "real" book in their hands, here's your chance to devour three sexy stories about women who visit Renaissance Faires for a variety of reasons. And end up in the arms of the men who might well turn out to be their destiny. Or not, as the case may be. As a side note, although I've never felt that going to print is the ultimate literary orgasm, I will confess to a feeling of joy and pride when I open the box and find my very own print book inside. Having total control over the look and the content of a book with my name on the cover - well, it's special. And I'm very proud of this particular paperback. It's colorful on the outside and attractive on the inside. Exactly how I wanted it to look!
Each of these stories is still available as a separate novella for your eReader and they have been formatted for Sony, Nook, iPad and other eReaders, as well as Kindle. Each has been priced at a reduced rate for your convenience.
You can probably find me on Facebook airing my views now and again. Link on left, of course. Please drop by and "friend" me? I believe there's no such thing as too many friends. And you'll be glad to know I have no cats at the moment, so that's one lot of photos you won't get linked to! I do have a fan page as well. Not sure why, but it seemed like the thing to do.
I will tweet when I have something to say, in spite of my oft-stated belief that a woman over forty using the expression "I tweeted" is just wrong on so many levels.
I have a blog that I remember to water now and again. I also have some friends who are starting to come visit, so I like to think it'll thrive in the sunny window where I've put it. I will add the caveat that this is NOT a writer's blog. I don't offer tips, or any writing stuff. You folks get enough of that elsewhere. Which is why I call my blog "And now for something completely different." Also as a tip of the hat to Monty Python.
Not exactly sure what Pinterest is, but people seem to be following me over there, and like what I stick up with those "pins" now and again. So if you're at loose ends, come by and see what I've got to say about all kinds of "stuff" I find during the course of living a perfectly ordinary life. LOL.
Appearances
Now that we're well into 2012, I get to plan my travel, and what better place to go than Arizona? Thanks to the lovely Decadent Publishing folks, I spent a super March weekend in Tucson with my writing partner S.L. Carpenter, signing a couple of books.
The RT Booklovers Convention has come and gone once more - and far too quickly as always. I hugged friends, made new ones, laughed, ate and drank (a little too much of both at times, I'm afraid) and probably made an idiot of myself. Yes, it was another wonderful RT - and Chicago certainly lived up to the "windy" thing. I brought home great memories along with the mountain of laundry. LOLLOL
Where to next? Nothing etched in stone yet, but I'm hoping to head west again, Phoenix this time, in August. (Yes, I will take SPF 8 million, and drink gallons of water. LOL). And if all goes according to plan, I'll be at Lora Leigh's Reader Appreciation Weekend, but as of now - early May - I don't have any more details on scheduling for this event.
There's an app for everything - even SAHARA KELLY. Get it now for your iPhone/iPad from the App store. Also available in the Android Marketplace.
